Frequently Asked Questions
When should I book my mare in for scanning?
Ideally, your mare should be scanned before covering or insemination to confirm her reproductive status. Follow-up scans are usually performed around 14–16 days post-cover or insemination to check for pregnancy and twins.
Do you offer artificial insemination (AI) services?
Yes. We offer both chilled and frozen semen AI services and can coordinate with stallion centres and semen suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly. Details of our packages can be found here.
Can you scan my mare at my property?
Yes, in most cases we can perform reproductive scanning at your yard if suitable facilities are available. Alternatively, mares can be brought to local stocks by arrangement (and a separate fee) for scanning and monitoring.
What if my mare doesn’t go in foal the first time?
It’s not uncommon for mares to require more than one cycle to conceive. We’ll discuss possible reasons and create a plan tailored to your mare’s individual needs, including further scans or treatment options.
How much does it cost?
We offer a range of stud packages depending on your mare’s requirements and whether you’re using natural cover, chilled, or frozen semen. Please click here for our current Stud fees price list.
