At Perth Equine Vets, we’re proud to announce the launch of our Specialist Equine Internal Medicine Service – bringing advanced, hospital-level diagnostics and expert care directly to horses across Scotland.

Our two RCVS-recognised Specialists in Equine Internal Medicine (Anna Hammond BVM&S DACVIM-LAIM Cert EM (Int Med) FHEA MRCVS  and Katie Offer BVMS DipECEIM MRCVS) are now available to visit your yard or veterinary practice, offering cutting-edge investigation and management of complex medical cases — wherever your horse is based.

What Is Equine Internal Medicine?

Equine internal medicine covers the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting your horse’s internal organs and systems. These can include the heart, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary system, skin, eyes, and nervous system.

Our specialists bring years of experience and advanced training to support both horse owners and veterinary colleagues with challenging or unexplained cases.

Advanced On-Site Diagnostic Services

Our mobile internal medicine service provides comprehensive investigations at your own yard or practice, minimising the stress of transport and ensuring timely diagnosis.

We can assist with:

✅ Ophthalmology – full assessments and standing ocular procedures

✅ Neurology & Headshaking – investigation and treatment plans

✅ Urinary & Dermatology Cases – including intradermal allergy testing

✅ Remote Case Advice – guidance for vets on individual cases or clinical protocols
